While the recent events in 2020 have shined a renewed light on racism in the US, it exists today as it has for centuries. To be Ghost Strong, you not only have to be strong physically but a strong person in your heart. A person that believes that that Black Lives Matter and equality is vital to moving forward in harmony as a nation. For each limited edition shirt sold, we will donate $10 to programs that support, guide, and help today’s youth break out of the chains of systemic racism with the confidence, safety, and opportunity that every child in America should have. $5 will be donated to Girls for Gender Equity and $5 will be donated to 100 Black Men in America. These groups are both non-profits that have no political affiliations and because of that, the money goes towards our youth and not a political action committee to be squandered.
Girls for Gender Equity
Girls for Gender Equity (GGE) is an intergenerational organization committed to the physical, psychological, social, and economic development of girls and women. Through education, organizing and physical fitness, GGE encourages communities to remove barriers and create opportunities for girls and women to live self-determined lives.
A gift to GGE will allow us to continue the important work that has given critical support to over 9,000 young people of color over the past decade. With your support, GGE can collaborate with even greater numbers of young people and adult allies to strengthen the talents of a new generation of youth leaders. Together, we have the power to create safer and stronger communities for girls, women, and gender nonconforming folks in New York City and beyond. GGE is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
100 Black Men in America
100 Black Men of America is a civic organization and service club whose stated goal is to educate and empower African-American children and teens. The organization has 110 chapters and more than 10,000 members in different cities in the United States and throughout the world.
Not all youth are born with privilege, opportunities, or a positive network. Some are raised throughout their lives thinking they’ll never be able to live the life they’ll want. This is because of the environment and the people who they surround themselves every single day. Every African-American person should have the ability to create the life they’ve always wanted and that’s what The 100 Black Men of America, Inc. provides.
Committing ourselves to personify the type of people our children will look up to and emulate, we embrace the immense responsibility we have to our mentees and our communities. Providing these children another choice in life by being around likeminded individuals who have similar aspirations and goals. 100 Black Men of America, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
